Cheikh Kouyate - quality again

Despite the horrific performance from the rest of the team today he was the only one that stood out once again and bar a terrible pass in the first half, he was everywhere again, tracking back, winning the ball, bombing forward, superb signing and a strong plus point so far despite the let down from everyone else today. I cannot wait to see Alex Song and him in the same side.
Quality player.

He's the sort of player that everyone hoped Diame would turn into. Cresswell did well again I think.
Still, no point in having the strongest squad we've had for 10 years if we couple it with the weakest manager we've had for 10 years.

As much as I dislike Allardyce, to say that Avram Grant and Glen Roeder were better managers is bonkers!

nsd, i thought he did ok and certainly our best player but even he was giving the ball away cheaply, mind you he didnt have a lot to pass to as most of our team seemed to be playing musical statues.

Roeder was a better manager for one season. He also had less backing from the board and a very fucking serious brain condition that would have affected him far more than anyone knew at the time.
Also, don't forget how well we did once he was given a small amount if backing. He signed bowyer, Ferdinand, brevett on frees and recalled Johnson and turned the team round. We also got more points in 02/03 than we did last season. And allardyce has twice broken out transfer record, bought 3 players in 8 figure deals and was given more backing in the championship than roeder got in the premier league.

Dont ever expct to see him
& song in the same side! Expect Job, Nolan, Carlton, Vaz Te etc. Actually playing new signings seems a notion BFS doesn't quite understand

Cresswell us doing pretty well but could do with a right foot.
Koyate is Diame x 2 + ability to pass.
Makes Noble look like a cart.

Zarate was good for me. Made the interception that led to the goal and was clearly the main threat until Valencia came on too late.
noble was absolutely shit today, apart from the goal. Looked like hed just smoked a bong.

The problem zarate had today was he had to drop deeper and deeper to get the ball because our midfield were incapable of passing to someone in claret and blue.

I don't think Kouyate put anywhere near the same levee of performance as the last 2 games.
He was ordinary.
As was everyone. Not one player can really say they had a decent game.

I thought he was immense again today, the engine inside that bloke just doesn't stop. Even when he gave the ball away cheaply, he wasted no time whatsoever in getting stuck right in to make amends.
I just hope this is how he carries on, I love a bit of COMMITMENT.
